FRAGMENTOS DE UN TIEMPO SENTIDO
“Fragments of a Felt Time” reveals the process of experimentation and technical and conceptual evolution present in the latest body of work by Consuelo Walker. The works unfold through thematic variations that reflect the artist’s constant pursuit. Through an approach that intersects the corporeal, the perceptual, and the psychoanalytic, the exhibition proposes an encounter with the body as a site where experience is inscribed and preserved.
The body and the space surrounding it emerge as representations, as well as extensions of the body itself and of the artist’s inner world, capable of evoking texture, humidity, movement, and vertigo. The sounds demand an attentive listening, while the image dissolves as a fixed figure and instead offers itself to the viewer as an open invitation to interpretation.
The exhibition has been conceived as a space for inhabiting the multiple forms of experimentation and evolution that traverse Walker’s practice. We accompany her processes, from textile labor to return, through the same language she employs in the exhibition itself—a moment in which she pauses to look forward, conscious of the decisions made and symbolic movements that have marked her path.
This exhibition is, in essence, an invitation to move through a sensorial and experiential journey. The viewer is summoned to complete the works through their own lived experience and signification. Each piece activates a dialogue between the intimate and the collective, allowing those who engage with it to become active interpreters, capable of granting new meaning to works that emerge from our own existence and from the ways in which we relate to it.

Fragmentos de un tiempo sentido revela el proceso de experimentación y evolución técnica y conceptual de los últimos trabajos de Consuelo Walker. Estos se presentan junto a variaciones temáticas que reflejan una constante búsqueda por parte de la artista. Desde una aproximación que cruza lo perceptual y lo psicoanalítico, se plantean como un reencuentro con el cuerpo como ese lugar que guarda la experiencia.
El bosque y el espacio natural no aparecen como representación, sino como el cuerpo mismo de la artista, capaz de resonar en diálogo con el nuestro. Las texturas y objetos evocan corteza, humedad, movimiento y verdor. Los sonidos demandan una escucha atenta y la imagen se disuelve como figura y se ofrece al espectador como una invitación abierta a la interpretación.
La muestra ha sido concebida como un espacio para habitar las múltiples formas de experimentación y evolución atravesadas por Walker. Acompañamos su proceso, desde el trabajo textil inicial, hasta su retorno al mismo lenguaje hacia el final de la muestra, momento en que se detiene para mirar hacia adelante, consciente de las decisiones materiales y simbólicas que la acompañan.
Esta exposición es, en esencia, una invitación a transitar un camino sensorial y de experimentación. El espectador es convocado a completar las obras desde su propia experiencia y significación. Nada está completamente definido: cada obra se activa y se actualiza desde la vivencia particular de quien la contempla. Se trata de ser intérpretes activos, de dotar a cada obra de un nuevo significado que nace de nuestra propia existencia y de la forma en que nos vinculamos con ella.
